By Fate I Conquer (Sins of the father #4)- Cora Reilly

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love it!! my favorite from the series as of now.

What happens when you fall in love at first sight, when you finally found that soulmate you never thought  exist or  even wanted this is the story of Amo Vitello and Greta Falcone two star crossed lovers will their love conquer all or will destroy them both.

I have to say when I learned that Cora was writing a story for Amo and Greta  the offsprings of  Luca Vitello NY Famiglia Capo (Bound by honor) and Remo Falcone Las Vegas Camorra capo (Twisted pride) I thought a very mafia Romeo&Juliet for sure.

By fate I conquer was definitely my favorite from the sins of the father series I was very excited to read this book I have to say it didn’t disappoint. It was sweet but also angsty but with a balance of humor and action in the mix. Amo and Greta have become a favorite couple of mine I love their story and even though they had everything against them they didn’t let that love they both had fade away they fought and conquer and all that pain was worth it in the end. Greta was definitely a surprise me i remember reading theories about her and she was definitely shy maybe a bit sheltered but by no means she was dormant, her personality is definitely a mood she was very straightforward and selfless to the point of her unhappiness but strong enough to admit and fight  for what she wanted and she definitely did when she realized that Amo is what she wanted, I think i wasn’t the only surprised her family too was surprise by some of her actions. Amo too surprise me he definitely made some questionable choices and his fair share of mistakes that definitely backfired for him but his love for Greta awoke something in him that he thought he lost, he was definitely a man in love and a romantic too. Like Greta he too fought for that love when he realized that everything else will be meaningless without her.

If your a fan of Cora Reilly books definitely check this out and also if you are fan of Luca Vitello or Remo Falcone what some bits of them as parents you will be not disappointed, in case you’re worried if they overshadowed their kids let me tell you both Greta and Amo stand on their own and will become a couple that you will love root for. This is their story and is a good one.

P.s. I cannot wait for Nevio and Aurora I need them now!! Also Cora Reilly do I spy a hint of maybe Alesso & Isa or am I delusional

Excerpt

A figure moved behind the foggy glass. Driven by curiosity, I pushed my hands into the gap and slid open the door, and I froze.

A girl in a light-pink tutu was dancing to the music. She appeared weightless and in a world of her own. Her black hair was piled on top of her head but a few curls framed her face. She looked like a doll come to life. Heart-shaped lips, porcelain skin and fairylike features.

Something seemed familiar about the girl, but I couldn’t pin-point what exactly.

She was so lost in the music, she seemed oblivious to me. Her eyes were closed. I’d never thought I’d enjoy ballet but watching this girl, I couldn’t imagine tearing myself away. My mind turned blank, my heartbeat slowed and every violent thought drained out of me.

A yap sounded somewhere, tearing me from my reverie. The girl’s eyes snapped open and her poise fell as she turned to me. Eyes as dark as bitter chocolate. Those eyes reminded me of the person who was at the top of my to-kill list if peace between the Famiglia and the Camorra ever ended. Nevio fucking Falcone.

And this was no other than his twin Greta Falcone.

Terror twisted her face. “No!”

I tensed, raising my arms. She didn’t give me a chance to explain anything. Instead she rushed past me, only leaving a whiff of vanilla in her wake, as she fled the house. I whirled around, watching her sprint up the slope leading toward the mansion at a speed I hadn’t thought possible with her petite frame.

“Fuck!” Had I just terrified Greta Falcone enough that she was running away screaming?

Remo Falcone wouldn’t give me a chance to explain. He’d just put a bullet in my head. If Dad didn’t kill me first.

Better Than The Movies- Lynn Painter

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wowwww It’s been a while since I loved a romance book like this and it’s a YA romance!!

Better than the movies tells the story of Liz Buxbaum a girl that adores all things romance she grew watching rom-coms and it’s looking for that Prince Charming and it’s certainly not Wes Bennett her next door neighbor/parking  spot nemesis. But it’s senior year a time meant to be rife with milestones and he forever crush just moved to town, certainly a sign that he is the one but to get him she has to convince Wes to help her. But what the one is always been next to her.

Better than the movies is truly amazing. The characters, even if the plot is not nothing new they way it makes the story flow along with great main characters and side characters makes this YA a perfect 10. It has that sweet and funny moments  but also the swoony moments that makes think I want a Wes Bennett in my life. Better than the movies not only plays a homage to those rom-coms many grew up with, that let me tell they don’t make them like that anymore but also that nostalgic feeling of my teeenage self when I watched those movies and read those  YA romance books wishing that one day I would find those great qualities in a man. It truly brought me back and enjoyed immensely I can honestly say it’s one of my best romance books without that cringe factor sometimes romance

Lynn Painter Better than the movies was truly better than those movies.  Read it you won’t be disappointed. 🦋

Update

 Hello!!!

It’s been a while since I last posted an update and a new review. Honestly life’s been a bit hectic that I haven’t even think of updating my blog which thinking about it now just makes me sad, because my blog is like my public reading diary where I was excited to share about new books and my thoughts about them.

On my last update I spoke a little about my problem with reading but basically since a few years back I slowly been losing my reading mojo I’m not sure if is combination of my mental stress or what,  but the passion & excitement  that I felt for reading wasn’t  throughly there anymore don’t get me wrong I have been reading but not like I used to, beforeI could read endlessly any book but now I feel like I became more pickier with my reading. And while it can be annoying at times because I throughly want to enjoy many books i’m now seeing a positive side to it because while not there yet my passion for reading is slowly igniting and I have found some amazing gems but I also have gone back some my most favorite books that I feel they have left a mark on my brain.  I’m writing this new update because I want get back and motivate myself to read and write  again it was one of the things that made me the happiest and I want that back.

I read some amazing books that deserve to be shared &  I’m also very excited about some new book releases coming soon and waiting for other books to be announced. I’m making myself promise to update with new reviews soon so keep an eye on that and thank you if you ever visited my blog  and liked a review of mine. Also to authors for allowing to review your work I know is not always easy to share it and letting others share their opinions on whether they are   good or bad.
