I'm sorry for your loss.
Why do people say that?
When someone you love is taken from you, when a part of you dies along with them, you haven't lost them like you would your car keys or mobile phone. They aren't stuck down the side of the sofa or left in the ignition of your car for you to find later. You haven't absentmindedly put them somewhere and forgotten. You will never lose them because they live in you.
The soul crushing hurt that burns your lungs with every breath you take comes from knowing where they are and not being with them.
The ugly and real definition of grief is being left behind.
I'm sorry they left you.
I'm sorry you are alone.
I'm sorry it hurts to breathe.
Loss; it doesn't even compare.
She was my first love.
She is my last love.
I am an empty husk who pretends to be filled with enough love for those of us she left behind.
Our little girl and newborn son need me.
I am both mother and father now.
I am hollow and empty.
I am a shell.
So why does the girl with the face of an angel and eyes that mirror my emptiness, look at me like I'm her everything?
*Book #6 in the 'Love by Numbers' series. Can be read as a standalone.*

Review
Eight is Josh's story, if you read One (love by numbers #5)then you know he lost his wife and is left to care for their two children. This is in a way Josh's journey through the grief and pain of losing a loved one and moving on.

I really liked the story since I was introduced to his character in isaac's story and it was very emotional then read about his wife death and reading now how much he still suffers her loss. The story is very emotional and at times it will have you sobbing but it has it funny, heart warming moments. The only complaint I have is I wanted more of Josh and Halle's I felt we didn't get enough but that's okay I still end it.

Overall it was a well written story and I enjoyed a lot. I definitely can't wait to read about Nate. If you are a fan of the series you this is a must read.

Author Bio
ES Carter lives in Cardiff, South Wales. The home of castles, dragons and folklore.
Her family joke that she was born with a book in her hand, and the urge to write stories soon followed.
At eleven, she won her school's literary prize. At ages fourteen to sixteen - her poetry phase after falling in love with Dylan Thomas and e.e. cummings - she had a few poems published, but life, love and family overtook her dreams, and she was in her thirties when she began the scary journey of self-publishing.
Her debut and internationally best-selling series, 'Love by Numbers', are a set of interconnected stand alone romances, all with varying themes of love. From second-chance to romantic comedy and M/M romance. These stories do not need to be read in order, in fact, she is often guilty of advising readers to start at the last book and work their way back through.
Contemporary romance is not the only genre she writes, her second series, 'The Red Order', is as dark and twisted as you can get, but there is beauty there too if you can open your eyes and look.
With many more stories bursting to be set free, she hopes you stay along for the ride.
She loves to connect with readers, so please feel free to friend/follow her on Facebook, IG and Twitter or join her reader's group, E's Elite <3

They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They're right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister's ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.

Review

If I loved Vicious does it mean that I'm obsessed with Ruckus because let me tell you I am. I din't just loved it , I adored it. Dean and Rosie are my favorite so far.

Ruckus can be classified as a second chance romance because in a way Dean and Rosie finally got their chance and I for one couldn't be happier because I was rooting for them and they didn't not disappoint they wait was worth it.

While I loved Ruckus it doesn't mean it was rainbows and sunshine for them or for me as I read their story. Dean and Rosie were two amazing characters but they definitely had issues of their own that they had to overcome but I loved every bit of this journey even when my heart ache for them and mostly when I wanted to slapped some sense into them.

Overall I truly enjoy Dean and Rosie story. Amazing chemistry, great characters and a sexy hero. What more can you ask for. Definitely check it out.
