Whiskey Sour(Miami Night and Club Lights #2)- Addison Beck

This is book 2 in the Miami Nights and Club lights series and the story of Elton and Knox 
I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant to read about Knox because he was kind of Asshole but once I read the small preview I was very intrigued and happy to repot that while it started a little rocky by the end I loved them and their story.

This is definitely another great installment in the series. Is spicy, a bit angsty, but also emotional at times, especially with Knox he was definitely a hard character to like at first but once you see more than the attitude he deserves all the happiness and I’m glad he found that with Elton.

The Nightmare before Kissmas- Sara Raash

 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved everything about this book. Coal and Hex were perfect, their meet cute, their kisses and all those swoony moments. It was perfect this definitely one of my favorite reads this year and can’t wait for Kris story I’m definitely loving this world and need all their stories. And Btw I will like give a shout out to Sara the way she described some Mexican traditions, the Mexican hot chocolate, the candy was just so amazing to read it definitely brought some great memories for me so thank you for that.

The Christmas Switch- Briar Prescott ARC Review

 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This the story of  Josh and Gabriel who have known each other since middle school and after a bit of a misunderstanding they became rivals fast forward to now and both have internships at the same law firm and are task with decorating for the Christmas party but what happens when suddenly after some unfortunate light incident their bodies switch and now they both have to work together in ways they never thought possible. 

I love it! it was a bit of a slow burn kind of story but with incredible banter, sweet, funny and kind of sexy too. I love both Josh and Gabriel both are from different backgrounds but have similarities that fit each other perfectly and was amazing how slowly they both realize that they were perfect for each other. My only complaint is that i felt it was too short I wanted more time with them especially after they became a couple. But this definitely a must read it was funny and lighthearted a perfect cozy read for this Christmas season. 

Resist Me- Emory Weste

 I love some good rivalry/enemies to lovers type of book and this one definitely did not disappoint. It was an amazing story that had my emotions all over the place it was emotional, funny, and swoony.

Overall I love it. Both Lincoln and West were amazing and fought hard for the HEA and couldn’t be happier they got it because they deserve it after all they went through. This is definitely another great installment in the series and my favorite so far and I definitely can’t wait for more.

The Sinner’s Sanctuary- August Jones ARC Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 

Perfection there is  no other word to describe how good this book is. This book deserves all the stars and more I was blown away and was sad when I reach the end. 

The Sinner’s Sanctuary is the story of Christian a doorman and Gibson Hayes the owner of the building and Christian’s boss. 

Without going into too much detail because spoilers,  I would just say I loved  every single thing about their story their love. Their relationship felt  like that missing puzzle that when you finally find the missing piece everything just clicks and all stress, pain, guilt, trauma and shame they ever felt  was worth it because they finally found each other. This is by far  my favorite from the series August know how to balance each emotion perfectly and I just loved Gibson, he had to hide so much of himself that was heartbreaking but so lovely how each he finally freed himself from those layers and found the love he deserve, And Christian how he finally let go of the guilt. They were definitely my favorite couple and wished we got more chapters of them being in love and wow how much did I loved those kisses, they were so hot.  

Overall this is must read August created a masterpiece.  It was sexy, sweet, emotional and at times heartbreaking.

Thank you August for creating such an amazing and beautiful story with even more amazing characters. Can’t wait for what’s next.

The Muse’s Undoing- August Jones

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve been loving this series, definitely another favorite. 

This is the story of Matthew and Fischer. While the first one had more enemies to lovers vibe this one is more a forbidden type of story as Fischer is Matthew adopted brother. While both grow up together they always had a very complex relationship and never really connected until suddenly Fischer suffers an accident and is in a very vulnerable situation and the only person he feels safe is none other than Matthew but what happens when slowly the lines start to blurb. 

I’m shocked I love it as much as I did, I usually avoid many tropes found on this story but I kept reading and suddenly i was finished. This one explores a bit more kink than the last installment and is also more a bit of a slow burn as both characters tried not to blurb the lines but then they do and is amazing I was honestly rooting for them and was happy when they finally got their HEA. Only complaint is I wish Raven got her karma.

The Heir’s Disgrace- August Jones

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my favorite tropes is enemies to lovers especially when you can feel the animosity but slowly the desire starts  growing but you don’t wanna give in until you do. I saw this on a my recommendation list and since I was on a August Jones binge I did not think twice and let me tell you as soon as started reading the Heir’s Disgrace I was hooked because it was so good. 

This is the first Installment of a new series by August Jones and is the story of Olivier a spoiler rich kid and Drew a doorman of the Eastmoor where Olivier lives. This honestly a great start of a series and I was surprised I loved it as much as I did because Olivier was hard to like at first and the story has some content I’m usually avoid in books but overall I end up loving because the characters were perfectly imperfect and August Jones does a well job balancing the smut with the hard stuff and makes up being a hard earn HEA. 

Notorious Park Avenue Prince - Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank

 

I gotta admit that I was a bit disappointed with news it was going to be MMM because i don’t know why but I have never been able to fully enjoyed it like it supposed to , I always lean more toward one side of the couple more and this is not just MMM is also MMF/MFM so you can imagine how many books I have to skip because I just can’t get into them in the book world. So I was a bit conflicted here because I love Ella and Brooke and have loved this series and wanted to read East book so bad because the crumbs we got of his and Zac on the previous installment were amazing so i needed to read him so I decided to read it. Spoiler: Not a great idea 

Notorious park Avenue Prince is my least favorite of the series by far, this time it wasn’t just me but also the book and is disappointing because it had so much potential but I feel like the plot wasn’t well structured or interesting and lack balance on the characters and their relationship and it was bit rushed. As I said before I was intrigued by East especially once Zac was introduced I needed their story and was not disappointed by them because both have an amazing chemistry I enjoyed reading about them together and wished the book showed the beginning of their relationship. What did disappointed me was that I felt this book shouldn’t have been MMM, when I read the MMM i usually lean towards one side more which I admit also did because I loved Zac and East more but I also noticed that it wasn’t just me the story also shows an unbalanced relationship where I felt that at one point East was the third wheel.
Overall the only thing I enjoyed was East and Zac I love their scenes and their chemistry was 🔥and wanted more scenes of them together and King well I never really gravitated towards his character and this story didn’t really change that maybe I would have enjoyed his character more if it was just his story and him not being overshadow by others characters. I feel this book would have work better if it was just Zac and East and if they really wanted to make King happened in their relationship make it as a threesome and be done because i personally think King should have open the new spin off series because I was more interested in him and the ex than Zac and East with him. Well I tried to read but unfortunately it was not for me which is a shame because I was very invested In the series but still love Ella and Brooke will continue to support them this book was not for me.

Easton ( The Swift Brothers #2)-Riley Hart ARC review

Another heartbreaking but beautiful story, Riley Hart really knows how to pull your heartstrings. 

This the story Easton Swift the younger swift brother and the “troublemaker”  and Archer Thorn  an amazing man who saw past all the anger and hurt, he saw East for what he truly is a man worth loving. 

This is such a perfect and beautiful story, if you read Morgan you know the the Swift family is a mess since their mother and sister passed away nothing has been the same, especially for Easton as that was his twin sister and blamed himself for her death and it doesn’t help that his father is constantly berates him and is hateful towards him. Oh Easton how much he suffer, all the anger, and pain he felt it was hard to read because he was so much more than what people saw in him, but one person who truly saw him was Archer they he slowly tear all those walls down In no moment he gave up on East, the way he loved him and was there for him it was amazing reading their story, see how through it all East brothers stand up for him how slowly each of them are healing. 

Overall this is such an amazing story, it was heartbreaking but sweet my heart felt like I was on a roller coaster of emotions but it was worth it. Can’t wait for Rhett I feel like my heart will break once again. 

The Step Don’t- Riley Hart Devon McCormack ARC Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the story of Colin and Ash if you read the step bet then you know they are your typical step brothers and they have a list of step don’t and do’s but what happens when Colin discovers Ash step don’t? Spoiler 🔥

I gotta say that even though the step don’t has a one of my least tropes I love it. Colin and Ash story is just amazing, it was spicy, funny, no angst at all. Just a great read with great characters and side characters. Their story is more lighthearted than the step bet as both Ash and Colin have a very strong bond since the very beginning , and have a very codependent relationship to the point Colin basically lives to please Ash therefore I feel like their transition from step brothers to lovers was just the next step they didn’t even know they needed to take. One thing I wish Devon and Riley did was to show more of them being in love/their relationship without Ash activity. But overall it was another great installment in the series. Can’t wait for what’s next I feel like it will be just as fun.

What happens when the only rule is not to fall in love. Will you dare to break it? 

Is officially I’m Briar obsessed and certified fan. 

Let me star by saying this book was incredible from start to finish.   I was a roller coaster of emotions I was Laughing one minute swooning the next and ultimately crying because although Briar is the queen of banter she can also break your heart but she sure knows how to put it back together. 

This the story of Wren and Sutton 

after funny encounter with Sutton both because somewhat friends, and Wren discover there is more to Sutton than meets the eye, he makes him feel safe and comfortable enough to ask him to become friends with benefits his so tired of his insecurities and just  wants to be free of that and who better than Sutton whose only rule is not too fall in love . I just love Wren his i think out of all the characters I felt more connected with him because I too feel insecure that has held me back from just being me and I was so happy when he was brave enough to fight that and let go of what we holding him back. And Sutton I gotta say I was bit disappointed that we didn’t get his POV because he’s so great underneath all that cockiness and attitude there was some darkness that he was fighting but goodness he was just perfect for Wren they way he say not fall in love but couldn’t help it. I just love it and wish I got to get more than one chapter in his POV. 

Overall this book is beautiful, The entire series is just amazing. The characters, their stories are beautifully done. Please read it you won’t regret it.

Five Bothers-Penelope Douglas ARC Review

Undecided about rating about 3.5 -4 

After reading Tryst six venom I was intrigued by the Jaeger brothers and I was excited when Pen announced she will be writing a story about them but then I read the premise of the book I was like 😬 oh no this can be very good or very bad. 

But is there one thing I love about Penelope is how she captives you with her writing. The way she has a gift to create worlds and characters that pull you in and make you crave for more. She is like a spider weaving her web to trapped you, she is that good at her craft. 

While I was nervous based on how this turned out because I’ll be honest I didn’t love Credence I liked it and finish it but is not my favorite and to my disappointment it seemed Five Brothers was heading that route but as I say can’t say no to Pen Douglas book and I was surprised that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, as I said before Pen has a way to perfectly create this worlds  that you can’t help but to get immersed in it and that’s what happened. I won’t lie and say this book has similarities with Credence because it does but in a way it also feels different. Each character here has weaknesses and strengths, the story is a multi POV so is amazing to be able to get into the head of the characters and be able to read and  either hate them or be on their side rooting for them but also experience how much they care and love each other  but also how much they struggle. This isn’t just Kirsjen love story; is about a family and their town fighting for each other. 

Overall while i didn’t love it, I like it much more than Credence and it was an enjoyable read and i can’t wait to explore more  of the Bay and their characters specifically Dallas and Callum. I’m itching to read about them specially after that teaser at the end I’m wishing and hoping they are next book because I hate for Pen to keep dragging their story. I you love Credence and darkness of the Devil’s Night series you’ll definitely love this one. O

Kiss A Villain(No Mercy #1) -Mia Darling

 

I remember I was scrolling through instagram I saw a post of the cover and I immediately went to the author page to learn more because that cover is  😘 amazing and the story is just as amazing. 

This the story of Yarik and Kirill who met during childhood after Yarik saves kirill’s life and subsequently becomes a soldier for Yarik’s father a leader of  Russian Bratva. 

This is definitely an amazing debut but Is more on the coming of age/slow burn type of romance. Kiss a Villain focus more In the beginning of Kirill and Yarik how they met, their friendship, their obstacles and the darkness that surrounds them. But I love that throughout everything they had an amazing bond and while I’m sure this wild ride is not yet over and the worse is yet to come their HEA is going to be epic and so worth it. 

Overall this an incredible story and you will definitely fall in love just as much as Yarik is with Kirill. But be warned this does end on a cliffhanger is not too bad  but it does make want Kiss of Death even more. But definitely pick this up you won’t regret it.

The Step Bet - Riley Hart Devon McCormack

The step Bet is the story of Troy and Atlas stepbrothers they love to get under each other’s skin but they also love to bets but one bet might triumph all of them are they willing to risk it all 

 While I love the stepbrothers trope lately either I end up loving it or is a hard miss for me But  Riley and Devon really surprised me and gave me one of the best stories. It was fun, a bit angsty, great banter and spicy. I love both Atlas and Troy they have become one of my favorite couples loved how they both cared for each other despite their differences both had strong personalities and were stubborn  but it was beautiful how much they each cared for the other and try to be there in any way they could. I you love medium angst read with good banter and spicy scenes this one is definitely worth the read. 

Can’t wait for more peach state shenanigans with the stepbrothers i definitely so excited for Colin and Ash I need it!!
