Maybe You- Briar Prescott

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What happens when the only rule is not to fall in love. Will you dare to break it?

Is officially I’m Briar obsessed and certified fan.

Let me star by saying this book was incredible from start to finish.   I was a roller coaster of emotions I was Laughing one minute swooning the next and ultimately crying because although Briar is the queen of banter she can also break your heart but she sure knows how to put it back together.

This the story of Wren and Sutton

after funny encounter with Sutton both because somewhat friends, and Wren discover there is more to Sutton than meets the eye, he makes him feel safe and comfortable enough to ask him to become friends with benefits his so tired of his insecurities and just  wants to be free of that and who better than Sutton whose only rule is not too fall in love . I just love Wren his i think out of all the characters I felt more connected with him because I too feel insecure that has held me back from just being me and I was so happy when he was brave enough to fight that and let go of what we holding him back. And Sutton I gotta say I was bit disappointed that we didn’t get his POV because he’s so great underneath all that cockiness and attitude there was some darkness that he was fighting but goodness he was just perfect for Wren they way he say not fall in love but couldn’t help it. I just love it and wish I got to get more than one chapter in his POV.

Overall this book is beautiful, The entire series is just amazing. The characters, their stories are beautifully done. Please read it you won’t regret it.

ASH

All stepbrothers need Step Don’ts.

Colin and I have ours.

Like, don’t pit our parents against either of us. Don’t hog the TV. And definitely…

Don’t.

Keep.

Secrets.

These rules have done more than help us keep the peace between us.

After all these years since our parents got together, I can’t imagine my life without Colin.

To most people, he’s the hot, straight tight end for Peach State.

But to me, he’s my backward-cap-wearing, football-loving, piggyback-ride-giving best friend and fellow Alpha Theta Mu frat bro.

Life’s pretty incredible living together at the same frat house, but suddenly, I find myself keeping a particularly naughty secret.

I tell myself Colin wouldn’t want to know what his bi bro does in private, but then why do I feel like I’m committing a huge Step Don’t?

COLIN

There’s nothing I’m more of an expert in than my stepbro, Ash.
He’s a quick-witted, nerd-boy genius who’s always there to help a friend cram for a test or capture bugs for me when they invade my space.

He’s my favorite person.

Making him happy gives me a rush…but for the first time, he’s keeping a secret from me.

When Ash cops to his Step Don’t—his new extracurricular of doing dirty things on camera—I’m confused.

He is too, so we work together to figure out why this excites him so much.

In places we’re likely to get caught.

After all, what’s a little exhibitionism between stepbros?

I didn’t even realize I could be into guys—or be so intoxicated by these new experiences—but exploring my bisexuality with Ash is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

And with each touch, each time we up the stakes, I discover I want more than just Ash’s body.

I want his heart too, even though that surely must be the biggest Step Don’t of all.

Five Bothers-Penelope Douglas ARC Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

After reading Tryst six venom I was intrigued by the Jaeger brothers and I was excited when Pen announced she will be writing a story about them but then I read the premise of the book I was like 😬 oh no this can be very good or very bad.

But is there one thing I love about Penelope is how she captives you with her writing. The way she has a gift to create worlds and characters that pull you in and make you crave for more. She is like a spider weaving her web to trapped you, she is that good at her craft.

While I was nervous based on how this turned out because I’ll be honest I wasn’t in love with Credence as much as others  were I liked it and finish it but was still nervous because it seemed Five Brothers was heading that route but as I say can’t say no to Pen Douglas book and I was surprised that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, as I said before Pen has a way to perfectly create this worlds that you can’t help but to get immersed in it and that’s what happened. I won’t lie and say this book has similarities with Credence because it does but in a way it also feels different. Each character here has weaknesses and strengths, the story is a multi POV so is amazing to be able to get into the head of the characters and be able to read and either hate them or be on their side rooting for them but also experience how much they care and love each other but also how much they struggle. This isn’t just Kirsjen love story; is about a family and their town fighting for each other.

Overall it was an enjoyable read and i can’t wait to explore more of the Bay and their characters specifically Dallas and Callum. I’m itching to read about them specially after that teaser at the end I’m wishing and hoping they are next book because I I need their story. If you love Credence and darkness of the Devil’s Night series you’ll definitely love this one.

Kiss A Villain(No Mercy #1) -Mia Darling

I remember I was scrolling through instagram I saw a post of the cover and I immediately went to the author page to learn more because that cover is  😘 amazing and the story is just as amazing.

This the story of Yarik and Kirill who met during childhood after Yarik saves kirill’s life and subsequently becomes a soldier for Yarik’s father a leader of  Russian Bratva.

This is definitely an amazing debut but Is more on the coming of age/slow burn type of romance. Kiss a Villain focus more In the beginning of Kirill and Yarik how they met, their friendship, their obstacles and the darkness that surrounds them. But I love that throughout everything they had an amazing bond and while I’m sure this wild ride is not yet over and the worse is yet to come their HEA is going to be epic and so worth it.

Overall this an incredible story and you will definitely fall in love just as much as Yarik is with Kirill. But be warned this does end on a cliffhanger is not too bad  but it does make want Kiss of Death even more. But definitely pick this up you won’t regret it.

The Step Bet - Riley Hart Devon McCormack

The step Bet is the story of Troy and Atlas stepbrothers they love to get under each other’s skin but they also love to bets but one bet might triumph all of them are they willing to risk it all

While I love the stepbrothers trope lately either I end up loving it or is a hard miss for me But  Riley and Devon really surprised me and gave me one of the best stories. It was fun, a bit angsty, great banter and spicy. I love both Atlas and Troy they have become one of my favorite couples loved how they both cared for each other despite their differences both had strong personalities and were stubborn  but it was beautiful how much they each cared for the other and try to be there in any way they could. I you love medium angst read with good banter and spicy scenes this one is definitely worth the read.

Can’t wait for more peach state shenanigans with the stepbrothers i definitely so excited for Colin and Ash I need it!!

Salacious Park Avenue Prince- Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank Book Review

👑👑👑👑👑

What happens after a night of fun and tequila awakes something unexpected but also shatters a special bond?

This is fifth book of the park Avenue princes and personally my most anticipated story of the whole series because is the story of our favorite slow burn pair Caleb and Travis ✨

If you been following the series you probably also got hooked when they were introduced and those moments throughout the series got me more and more exciting to read about them and it made you wonder what happen between them  that cause such a dislike but at the same time feel that longing between them. Fast forward to the blurb reveal and in a way it make sense but I knew there was more to it and I was not surprised that yes indeed there was so much more

I loved it!!! The wait was worth it. Ella and Brooke keep delivering with each installment and this was no different, Salacious Park Avenue Prince was everything. A sprinkle of angst, funny, spicy and sweet. After years of  “hatred” their parents had enough and forced them to live together forcing them not only to share space but to open old wounds but maybe also finally heal them.  I loved the journey of Caleb and Travis it was hard to read at first to learn about their fallout why it happened and how their reactions  shatter that bond they had. To read  that they weren’t only stepbrothers but Best Friends who missed each other but were too stubborn and hurt to see what was right in front of them, until that moment they finally did which was just perfect, The flashbacks were great addition to the story to fully understand each of their actions I’m glad both Ella and Brooke added that. Although this contain the stepbrother trope I feel like it wasn’t heavily emphasized it could have easily been best friends to enemies to lovers, so for those who are not into that trope I will definitely read it.

Overall it was an amazing story well worth the wait,  Caleb and Travis were perfect for each other and definitely deserved their HEA and I’m glad I can finally read it.

Now onto our next Park Avenue Prince the notorious James Easton which I’m both excited and but also scared of what to expect as I have some theories about his story but i definitely cannot wait to read what Ella and Brooke come up with ✨

Travis McKinney
“The Outrageous One”

Or, as some of my fellow Park Avenue Princes like to call me, the Manwhore of Manhattan.
Act like a sex god, dress like a sex god, 𝑏𝑒 a sex god. In my opinion, these are fantastic life goals. I have no idea why my parents think I have no direction.
I’m the fun one. Easygoing. A massive flirt. I get along with just about everyone, except…

Caleb Reeves.
Also known as “the Bane of My Existence”

He’s everything I’m not: Focused, effortlessly sexy but straight, and an ex-Park Avenue Prince. Or the “Pricks,” as he likes to call us now.

Our rivalry is legendary. Putting us within a hundred feet of each other is just asking for trouble.  But no one other than the two of us knows why 𝑜𝑟 how it began, and we plan to keep it that way.
The unspoken agreement is that Caleb keeps to his side of the city, I keep to mine, and we avoid each other at all costs.

Which would be great, except we have to see each once a month at family dinner.
Because Caleb isn’t only my arch-nemesis, he also happens to be…my stepbrother.

Excerpt

**Unedited and subject to change.

As soon as the elevator opened, I rushed inside only to hear someone call out my name. The second I turned around, I realized it was a mistake, because of course it was Travis who slapped his hand against the closing door and pushed it back.

The gunmetal grey button-up he wore rose up a little with the move, showing off a strip of tanned skin just above his low-slung dark jeans. One of his flared bell sleeves dropped down his arm, revealing the multitude of rings adorning his fingers and the leather cuffs wrapped around his wrist. Tension radiated off him in waves, and I cursed at the confrontation I couldn’t seem to avoid.

“Going somewhere?” The ice in his voice matched the blue of his kohl-lined eyes as they narrowed dangerously on mine.

“Do us both a favor and go back to your party.”

“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”

“No. Was I that obvious?”

Travis cocked his head to the side, the alcohol he’d downed more than evident in the crooked smirk that crept over his full lips. The tension from seconds ago morphing into his preferred ammo when he got someone alone—sex.

He was like this with everyone. It wasn’t like I was special. I was, however, the only one who didn’t succumb to his charms.

“Pity you can’t be that obvious about other things you’d like.”

“I’m not doing this with you.” I shoved off the back off the elevator ready to shove him out of it, when he stepped inside and the door slid shut behind him.

“Oops.”

“Oops my ass.”

“Well we could play that game too if you want to turn around and unzip.”

I clenched my back molars together as I did my level best to glare him to death. Unfortunately the asshole remained upright.

“You’re so fucking obnoxious, anyone ever tell you that?”

“Other than you?” Travis scrunched up his nose. “Nope. Most people lean towards hot, sexy, good in bed.”

“Only good, huh? That must be a blow to your ego.” The second the words were out of my mouth I realized my mistake, because if I’d learned anything over the years of verbal sparring with Travis it was that I was never going to come out on top.

“Usually it’s something else getting blown besides my ego. But if you’d like an up close and personal demonstration of just how good I can be, all you have to do is get down on your knees.”

I shouldn’t have been shocked by his words. Travis was all about being as outrageous as possible, and a quick “fuck you” here and there I could deal with.

The audacity behind these words though? The arrogance? He was fucking delusional.

“You wish.”

Travis crossed the car to stop opposite me, his eyes holding mine steady as he fired right back, “Yeah, well, at least I admit it.”

Not about to play into his little game, I refused to back down. “Why do you always do this?”

“Call you out on your shit?”

“Draw attention to me?” I angled my chin up, not about to let him think for a second I was intimidated by him the way others were around the Park Avenue Dicks. “You hate me so much and don’t want me around, yet the second I am you’re all about fucking with me.”

Travis’s lips curled at the edge. “Nice choice of words. Accident or on purpose?”

“This might come as a newsflash to you, but not everyone who talks to you wants to fuck you.”

“See there you go again with the whole ‘everyone’ spiel. I’m asking about you, Caleb.” Travis leaned in a fraction, making me immediately rear back. “Do you wanna fuck me?”
