Crossroads-Nicole Dykes

 

I love it, is definitely one of my top reads from Nicole.

This is the story of Emerson and Jasper one is a rich spoil kid and the other is a a responsible hard working man but what happens when both have to learn to work together and get to know each other. 

The author describes this as a mix keeper and Hostile and is definitely the perfect description for Crossroads. The story is sweet, funny and I love how they organically Emerson and Jasper fell in love. This is definitely a perfect small town romance 

Overall this one is an amazing story with great characters and well written story another hit from Nicole. Definitely recommended

First Serves and Second Chance(East Coast Matches #1)- Emmery Fox ARC Review

When Emmery Fox announced the new series I was equally intrigued and excited I loved the Ivy League players series is one of the best I’ve read, so I couldn’t wait to dive into this new world. 

First serves and second chances was a top read for me, I love everything about it but it took me by surprise because by the titile and the cover you will think is a chill read but one thing I love about Emmery Fox writing is the depth in which they write characters and stories and this is not the exception is more intense than their other stories especially because it does deal With some heavy themes so beware of the triggers. Nate and Evan were both fantastic MC’s both were dealing with so much specifically Evan after his father illness he had to take care of him and his family and had to sacrifice so much for them. He’s a little hard on Nate when they reconnect because to him is not the same Nate he used to know his a more privilege more different than him but underneath that is someone who is also also trying hard to fit in where he couldn’t be himself I loved the complexity of both characters and the growth both did throughout the story, their love story was amazing seeing how Nate did not give up on Evan how he like him and keep fighting for him was amazing to read. Overall I love every bit of their story a perfect first installment it was low angst, a bit spicy but also sweet in a way. I can’t wait for What’s next I already have my eye on some side characters if you enjoyed The Ivy League players series then definitely check this out is so good and if you haven’t already do so then do it their are some underrated gems in Emmery Fox catalog
