Wowwww It’s been a while since I loved a romance book like this and it’s a YA romance!! 

Better than the movies tells the story of Liz Buxbaum a girl that adores all things romance she grew watching rom-coms and it’s looking for that Prince Charming and it’s certainly not Wes Bennett her next door neighbor/parking  spot nemesis. But it’s senior year a time meant to be rife with milestones and he forever crush just moved to town, certainly a sign that he is the one but to get him she has to convince Wes to help her. But what the one is always been next to her. 

Better than the movies is truly amazing. The characters, even if the plot is not nothing new they way it makes the story flow along with great main characters and side characters makes this YA a perfect 10. It has that sweet and funny moments  but also the swoony moments that makes think I want a Wes Bennett in my life. Better than the movies not only plays a homage to those rom-coms many grew up with, that let me tell they don’t make them like that anymore but also that nostalgic feeling of my teeenage self when I watched those movies and read those  YA romance books wishing that one day I would find those great qualities in a man. It truly brought me back and enjoyed immensely I can honestly say it’s one of my best romance books without that cringe factor sometimes romance 

Lynn Painter Better than the movies was truly better than those movies.  Read it you won’t be disappointed. 🦋

 Hello!!! 

It’s been a while since I last posted an update and a new review. Honestly life’s been a bit hectic that I haven’t even think of updating my blog which thinking about it now just makes me sad, because my blog is like my public reading diary where I was excited to share about new books and my thoughts about them.

 On my last update I spoke a little about my problem with reading but basically since a few years back I slowly been losing my reading mojo I’m not sure if is combination of my mental stress or what,  but the passion & excitement  that I felt for reading wasn’t  throughly there anymore don’t get me wrong I have been reading but not like I used to, beforeI could read endlessly any book but now I feel like I became more pickier with my reading. And while it can be annoying at times because I throughly want to enjoy many books i’m now seeing a positive side to it because while not there yet my passion for reading is slowly igniting and I have found some amazing gems but I also have gone back some my most favorite books that I feel they have left a mark on my brain.  I’m writing this new update because I want get back and motivate myself to read and write  again it was one of the things that made me the happiest and I want that back. 

I read some amazing books that deserve to be shared &  I’m also very excited about some new book releases coming soon and waiting for other books to be announced. I’m making myself promise to update with new reviews soon so keep an eye on that and thank you if you ever visited my blog  and liked a review of mine. Also to authors for allowing to review your work I know is not always easy to share it and letting others share their opinions on whether they are   good or bad.

Puck Drills & Quick Thrills (CU #5)- Eden Finley & Saxon James

 I love this book and I dare to say Puck Drills & Quick drills is in tied to the #1 spot to Face offs & Cheap shots, sorry Asher but your brother did not just score but won the whole game. wow Eden and Saxon what a way to finish a series. 

West & Jasper have become one of my top couples and their story one of the best of the year. This is Westly Dalton(CU hockey assistant coach) and Jasper Eckstein a (Mathematics teacher)story. if you follow the series you know West is Asher older brother and Jasper is the professor he loves to hate which makes this story that much fun. I won't go into too much detail but Puck Drills and Quick Thrills is a fun, sweet, sexy and heartfelt story, even with themes such as the loss of a loved ones and bullyin the story just flows perfectly without adding unnessary angst, insted the story just flows perfectly is one of those stries that you sit and enjoy with a smile on your face. I got to say Saxon and Eden create amazing characters and have a way to build them in such a way that you can't help but loved them. Jasper was not te exception he was amazing the way he grow and let go of that past trauma and West how much did I understand his strugles, is not easy to suddenly has this big responsability on your shoulders and be so afraid to fail. 

 In conclusion personally I think this one was one of the best in series that's all. get it! and again Eden & Saxon you both score and won. what a way to finish a series. can't wait for whatever else you have planned.

Line Mates & Study Dates (CU Hockey #4) - Eden Finley & Saxon James

Definitely another scored from Eden and Saxon the series just keeps getting better.


This is the story of Asher a hockey player and kole a med student and the the coach’s son what happens when a small request to looked out for the hardheaded Asher turns into more than just help 🤗

If you follow the series the you have already met Asher  and if you are like me you most likely were intrigued by him and let me tell you he did not disappoint, even with all his flaws Asher was a character I very much adore, even at times he resented giving up his spot in the NHL he knew his family needed him but also strive not to loose hockey and when he finally met Kole a person who in a way understood him a little better and not gave up on him something else made sense for him. Speaking of Kole he was all around amazing his humor, his generosity the way he got through Asher was just amazing. 

Overall I loved the story. It was funny, healing, sexy and just the kind of book you can just sit and enjoyed and not realize time has passed because it just so good. I definitely cannot wait for the next installment of this series after reading those little hints I have a hunch it will be just as amazing as this one 😍

This is the Story Roman Mitchell one of fives members of a secret society named Enclave which is aimed to do great things for the world but some info has Roman questioning everything he thought Enclave was. now his mission is not only to take his place in the society but also learn the truth of what his ancestors really are. But In comes Hale Colloway an enigma of man, how does he fit in Roman’s world and what are his secrets and will he get him out of his head? 

As stated before this Roman’s  story If you have read River of rain duet then you most likely met Roman and might have so feelings towards him, but surprisingly you will love him here, as you will understand his actions, and feel for him. As an Enclave member since the moment he was born his future was set with no other choice but to follow his duty but when he discovers that there is more to Enclave than what he thought, he makes his mission to find the truth but is he willing to sacrifice himself for love and is it worth it? 

Hale on the other hand is a pure enigma I remember my talks with C.E asking for little snippets about him, in what ways does he fit with Roman and how will he be. And one thing for sure is either you will love him or hate him his walls are so high that at times his actions  seemed inexcusable and he acted too much as A-hole but is sure was incredible when he finally let go and let himself feel. 

Overall I love the book yes there were times that I thought WTF is that!! why would they do that!! But I pull through and made it to the end even will of those twists.  The end is for sure  bittersweet another thing you will either love or hate but I can’t wait to find out how C.E. Ricci manages to shape and surprise us with this  new set of characters, so prepared yourself because the wait will be long as is an interconnected series and there are 4 more books to go and this is isn’t the most darker yet 😉. If you love Enemies to lovers stories with a twist this is definitely the book for you so definitely check it out.

Infernal Sin (Primal Sin #3) -Ariana Nash

 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I remember in 2020 I stumbled on the first installment of Primal Sin series since I was checking out Ariana Nash works. some reviews stated that if you hate cliffhangers it was best to wait, but the blurb just pull me in and to make the story short yes I admit cliffhangers suck but I regret nothing because it became one of my top favorites series along with my favorite couple.  Fast forward we now are saying goodbye to an amazing series and let me tell you Ariana did such good job with Mikhail and Severn till the very end. I can’t dive in too much into the plot without really giving the story away but trust me is so good.  The series started with a vengeance an it ended with love and how worth fighting for and having the freedom to feel and embrace those feelings. Mikhail grow and learn so much as well as Severn he had a plan in the begging but destiny had something else plan for him. If you have follow the series you will get all your questions answered, you will get mad, you will feel happy and satisfied till the very end. And if you waited for all the books to be out, Go get them now! Primal Sin series is one of the most epic love/enemies to lovers stories.
