Crush (Bayonet Scars #4)- J C Emery

The fourth installment of the Bayonet Scars series, and Jeremy and Cheyenne's story, I can't tell you how eager and intrigued I was to read their story and how will unfold.

We met them in the previous book Rev, Cheyenne is the daughter of Grady and Jeremy is the Son of Butch two patch members of the Forsaken Motorcycle club. and their story seem sweet and amazing I like how J C brought these two characters together and want it more, I and was glad she give us their story.

Cheyenne and Jeremy were both raised in the club life but even through that, they were total opposites, Cheyenne being a cheerful popular girl at school and Jeremy somewhat of a Bad Boy, but until tragedy struck Forsaken Club, is when the attraction and the beginning of their story begun.

Jeremy is a 18 year-old that even with his young age he has earned the privilege of prospecting for the club his father is a member of, I really loved his character, sometimes he did got on my nerves but  he redeem in the end, he loved Cheyenne fiercely and was willing to make sacrifices to protect her in the turmoil that both lived in, I also love his commitment to the club, and how he prove his worth to the club and to Cheyenne.

Cheyenne is not your typical heroine, though she can be a typical teenager sometimes, but with that she is much more than that and proves that she is strong willed and at moments a wise young lady that can deal with anything.  I love that even though Jeremy cause her heartaches she never give up on her love for him and stood her ground for what she wanted even willing to make sacrifices for him.

I really loved how JC Emery played out their story and was glad she decided to turn it into a novel instead as the novella she planned, because it gives us more background on the characters. I think this story is not as steamy as the others but it might be for the reason that the characters are a bit younger. it can also  be slow paced sometimes but is very enjoyable and as a reader of the series you get some questions answers and more questions in your head, but I can say that I'm definitely hooked and can't wait to see how the war between Forsaken and Mancuso unfolds, and what kinds of tragedies awaits for our favorite characters, but for the moments I can say that definitely need Ian and Mindy's story and maybe a Diesel one ;)

EXCERPT

Pulling my phone out of my pocket when it chimes, I read the message that awaits me. It’s from Jeremy and says, WHERE R U?
Crap.
OUT, I text back.
I FUCKIN KNOW THAT. WHERE R U? he responds. I so don’t want to tell him where I’m at or what I’m doing, but he can be relentless and I think I need his help anyway, so I give him the address of the neighbor lady. I hope he doesn’t recognize the street name as the Jennings’ street, but knowing my luck, he will.
DON’T MOVE, he says.
ON WAY HOME, I write back in hopes that this will calm him down.
It doesn’t.
DON’T FUCKIN MOVE, he says and finishes it off with, I GOT 2 HUNT U DOWN, I WON’T BE HAPPY.

For The Record- K.A. Linde

Is such a bittersweet ending to one of my Favorite series of 2014, For the Record was such a perfect ending to a beautiful political/passionate journey, Brady & Liz relationship is one that I will never forget, even with the many anxiety attacks that I went through with them, on that note here is my thought on the final book.

After all the obstacles Liz and Brady had to face on the previous books you probably think that the end of the journey would be easy but that is not K.A. Linde style and she prove it with  For The Record. Now that Brady & Liz relationship is public, every step they take is know, the stakes are higher in their relationship and only trust in each other will help them overcome those obstacles.
This book doesn't have as much angst as in the previous book, the Heroine(Liz) is much mature and aware on the position she is in, she is not just a reporter anymore, she is the Girlfriend of a State Senator that is about to re-elect, and on this story she proves her worth to her and Brady that she is so much more than what people think of her. she learn from her mistakes and fought for the love of Brady, this story proves sometimes how scandals can affect your life not only personal but professional as well, it was heartbreaking to read what Liz have to give up because of the relationship she  had with Brady. but you know the saying once a door closes another one opens and Liz prove that, she did not only wanted her man but she wanted her dreams as well. to me she is an example that you don't give up. you strive until you get it.

Brady is my favorite male lead in all the K. A. Linde books, he is driven  man that goes for what he wants, don't matter the odds or obstacles he has to faced, he strives till the end, of course until love knock on his door and he had to rethink what was more worth it in the end for him, and he prove just that.  I love how he was with Liz on this book he was attentive and by no means unsupportive of her dreams, instead  he encourage her and support her. he too had to endure the obstacles he was thrown for having a public relationship but, to him Liz matter the most and if he didn't have her, then all his achievements  pale in comparison  of losing her.
The end of course was bittersweet but it was perfect,  I was happy that both Brady & Liz found happiness in each other and made all their dreams come true. it was such a rollercoaster of emotions but it will  leave you satisfied but secretly wanting more.

Big Thanks to the publisher for proving me with a Copy for an honest Review.

The Road- Jay Mclean

*****Cover Expected to Change*****

February can't come fast enough waiting impatiently for this baby.
;)

Blurb
 *Chloe*

For four years I watched him roaming the halls of high school, always quiet, without a single clue of his A-list status. Then one night he ran into me, literally.  He thought he saved me, but he had no idea how impossible that was. Now he wants to talk. Now he wants to get to know me. Now he thinks he's in love with me.
Stupid, stupid boy.

*Blake*

I wish I'd found her earlier, but she chose to stay invisible. I watched her take in the world one breath at a time, while living her life alone. I told her that I saved her that night, but I lied. I think she saved me. She wants to push me away and tell me I'm wrong, but it's too late. Now she's been noticed. Now she's a part of me. Now I'm in love with her.
Beautiful, beautiful girl.

On The Record (Record #2) - K.A. Linde

One of my most anticipated reads, The Record series has become one of favorite series of the year, the passion that Brady and Liz  feel is truly amazing to read. on the sequel we see the fallout of what happen at the end of the first book, how Liz and Brady cope with the end of their "affair" and the struggles they had to face to get to the point and be ready for a relationship of their own. this book was roller costar full of feelings for me, the angst is definitely there it won't be a K.A. Linde book if it wasn't. this sequel put through the ringer. both Liz and Brady try to move on and "forget" that torrid romance but is easier said than done, right? that passion still lingers , no matter how hard you hold back .there were times I wanted to slap some sense into them and shout why!! just give in, but I understood that they needed that time to put everything under perspective and be ready for their time. Liz definitely did not make "smart" choices but I can't help but love her,she made it worth it in the end and Brady what can I say about him, he too broke my heart at times but I know it was out of hurt and what he still felt for Liz. this book had more conflict, angst and complications than the first, but a great continuation to a great series. I can't wait for the last book For the Record if this great I know the next would be amazing. just add a little more Brady please ;)

Bayonet Scars Series by JC Emery

This is another MC series I like , but this one is different in a way that it mixes the Italian Mafia. It's a bit darker ,not at the begging but it does get more darker as the books progress. despite how many don't really like the first book because in way the Hero can be a little bit on the asshole side, I really like it. I really like how on the second book the Hero loved the Heroine and never give up on her, but at times I was bit angry at him for his actions but he redeem himself .  I like them a lot. The third book was awesome as well, the Hero is this bad ass biker but never played with the Heroine, he knew he wanted her and she wanted him, she accept the life and the consequences it brought, this book was to me a bit more darker for a specific scene on the book, it was hard to read but the book show how sometimes the outlaw life bikers live is ugly. Three books are out, another two books will be out on the Fall 2014, I'm so excited for Ian and Mindy's story and Jeremy and Cheyenne's. Can't wait for them.

Scoring Wilder- R. S. Grey

I enjoy this book so much, it was laugh out loud amazing. After Kinsley was cheat on by her boyfriend the only thing in her mind that matters is her soccer career, but enter hot bad boy Liam Wilder, professional soccer player and assistant coach, can you say forbidden attraction?. I love this book, it was very entertaining and funny the attraction between Kinsley and Liam was there and nowhere to hid it, why not just give in, consequences be damn, Right?. Kinsley is just plain amazing and a friend you wish to have and what can a say about Liam  he is amazingly Hot. ;)

UnBeautifully(Undeniable#2) by Madeline Sheehan

The Undeniable series are the first MC series I read, it can be a dark read but is much more amazing each story is unique with is own characters but the story that stay with me and pull those strings in my heart was UnBeautifully no other book in the series made me fall in love like I did with Ripper and Danny, their story can be hard to read and ugly at times but is amazing nonetheless. After Ripper suffer the attack that left him scarred , he by no means was the man he was before it was like he was alive but didn't felt like it, Danny too struggle after the attack her wasn't the same and it felt like her family was falling apart. One nigh Ripper and Danny's world change, Danny didn't see the scars in Ripper she saw the man underneath and Ripper once again felt alive. I really love this story, is my favorite of them all, their journey to happiness wasn't easy in fact it was hard and ugly, with every choice they made there was a consequence, but in the end it made it worth it for them. the scars that we bear doesn't always have to define who we are, they tell a story.
